eurodans to the beat

todd terje - eurodans (mp3)

firstly, we've finally gotten round to getting our own domain and webspace sorted, so we've banished the horrible yousendit links and hopefully we find you all with us still. right, and now that's done ...

i doubt i'd be wrong in estimating that about 75% of the top quality nu-disco that has come out in the past 12 months has come from norway, and if so, then 75% of that has come from three distinct nordic countrymen. the first two, lindstrom and prins thomas, have already been discussed at length within these pages (just to reiterate for those late to the show - we love them quite a lot) so today we'd like to point you in the direction of the third amigo, mr. todd terje. if you've been keeping an eye on the scando-cosmic scene you've no doubt seen his name mentioned, and there's not a lot of places around these parts that you could have avoided his most-excellent michael jackson re-edit on gamm a while back. (geez, i've just realised that we link discogs an awful lot!)

this track is guaranteed dancefloor destroying dynamite, that has been almost played to death down at our gaff, and to a rapturous reception everytime. rumour has it that this track was only made after a friend asked terje to produce the cheesiest dance track he could, and the result was so good that it had to be released. terje is on fire at the moment, so i'd recommend checking out some of his stuff here.
