(its cosmic) in the air tonight

phil collins - in the air tonight (extended version) (mp3)

for those of you who know him, you might be mistaken for thinking this is a picture of my good friend kev, unfortunately you would be wrong………although they are almost identical in facial hair adornment, it is in fact, a young phil collins…...

the reason for the genesis man gracing our pages is because i thought id share with you my two best record buys of last week……..one of them being a 50p find in my local help the aged ‘boutique’ and the other being a japanese import that cost me an arm and two legs…..

the first is the extended version of phil collins – in the air tonight, which (in a totally un-ironic way) is a frickin’ great tune with a hypnotic bassline and lovely piano interludes…………….......apparently, said tune, was featured regularly on the miami vice show back in the early 80’s, which, co-incidentally, had a cameo appearance from mr collins, where he played a nasty, good for nothing crook called ‘phil the shill’……..completely useless information i know, but a question on such a subject is bound to pop up on your local pub quiz sooner or later…....

port of notes - walk through happiness (lindstrom remix) (mp3)

the second track on crue-l records is titled ‘walk through happiness’ and is a 11min remix of slo-mo cosmic action from everybody’s favourite, hans-peter lindstrom……………the original version done by port of notes is on the b-side, and all though its a pleasant little tune in its own rights, its lindstroms epic remix which is the winner here, enjoy.....and if you like, dig deep and buy
