beck to the future

beck - broken drum (boards of canada remix) (mp3)

beck - clap hands (mp3)

with full details of the beck remix album now released, and seeing as there's a track from guero played almost every saturday night (with "missing" and "girl" being particular favourites) i thought it's as good a time as ever to post these remixes. both of these will show up on "guerolito" when it drops in december, but now's as good a time as ever to share them.

i've gotta say, whilst the new boards of canada album left me quite cold, i'm really loving this remix right now. there's a real depth of emotion to it which was lacking in the identikit lackadaisical production of "the campfire headphase". beck's own "clap hands" was featured on the limited edition of the cd, and it's another winner.

if anyone has any idea what any of the other remixes sound like (especially the superthriller and el-p tracks) i'd be more than interested to hear about it below.
